- In jail, you spend most of your time in a 8m x 10m room. In the office, you spend most of your time in a 2m x 3m cubicle.
- In jail, you eat three meals a day. At the office, you have only one snack, which you also have to pay for.
- In jail, you have time to meditate at your life. When you work in an office, you don’t have time for such deep thoughts.
- In jail, there is always a guard who opens and closes doors for you. At the office, you have to do it yourself, and take care of your keys.
- In jail, you can watch TV. At the office, if your boss catches you doing that you’re in trouble.
- In jail, you are entitled to visits from your family and friends. At the office, you barely have any time to give them a call.
- When in jail, the state is paying for your living and you don’t have to work. At the office, after you work and you get your salary, you pay your taxes, and what’s left?…
I suppose we shouldn’t wonder why some people choose to do things that take them back to jail immediately after they get out.
#8. In jail, you don’t get in trouble for sexual harassment.
Ha, ha! Thanks Ronald, now we have one more reason to return 😉
At my office, I don’t have a window. In jail, you don’t have a window. But you know? The local jail is out in the beautiful country side, so on the off chance you get to see it, you enjoy the hell out of it. My office is in the city – on the off chance I get to see the outside world, I just get the reinforced idea I’m all alone in a sea of machines.
…if only you could blog from jail 😉
You offer a very interesting perspective. It would never have occurred to me. I suppose the difference is freedom or as you have pointed out – the perception of freedom.
Ronald, for #8, you don’t get into trouble unless you are in a normal jail and not in prison, or unless you harass someone who is covered by a group of people who take care of their own.
Simonne, you should see the movie “Escape from Alcatraz.” Clint Eastwood said a very famous line in the movie that I love. He finds out that he can get paid working in prison, to which he says as a reaction “And they told me crime doesn’t pay.” I have to remember the exact quote sometime.
Funny post, but this is the beauty of internet marketing isn’t it? You can work whenever you want and go on with your day any way you want to 😉
David, I suppose you could also blog from jail. Can you imagine writing a post and then waiting for the guards to approve it?
Neena, when I was a child I used to think that jail can be a solution for people without shelter. I did not understand why criminals don’t have to pay for accomodation.
Bes, I saw the movie, it is excellent. Now I remember the quote, bgut I don’t know exactly how it sounded.
Yes, Palm Coast, internet marketing is great. If I could also get some money out of it, it would be much better 😉
In jail you’ll get out for good behaviour, at work you’ll be given more work for good behavior.
😆 I know that, Dave, I’ve been there myself (at work, I mean).
hahaha, Simonne… you just killed me with laughter and got away with it 🙂
You should do a follow up to this post and add Dave’s and Ronald’s points 🙂
So, inspirationbit, I missed even this chance of getting into jail 🙁 I just hope I did not kill you too hard 😆
