Tablet computers, iPads, smartphones, all these are awesome toys that make us, if not more productive, at least happier with our ability to stay in touch with everybody from almost everywhere. The downside to such cute gadgets is that they are hard to use for regular jobs we used to do on our good old computers. Typing is one of them. I hate typing on little keyboards like the iPhone one. I just can’t get it right, my messages are full of typos and I get moody and anxious each time I need to SMS people. I feel like ZAGG is going to bring my good mood back to me, thanks to the newest accessory, the ZAGG keys SOLO wireless keyboard. My father would say that cutting my nails shorter would have the same effect on my typing accuracy (for much cheaper), but I would rather pay the $69.99 for the ZAGGkeys SOLO than see myself with short nails.

Versatility
I’m impressed the ZAGGkeys SOLO will be available in three colors: black, silver and white. The downside is that I’m VERY tempted to order two keyboards: one black and one silver. White is also awesome, but I tend to avoid buying white gadgets and home appliances because they are very hard to clean (and I’m lazy).

Another excellent point in the versatility chapter is the interchangeability. The keyboard can be used with the iPad2 from Apple, the Galaxy Tab, iPhone 4, iPod Touch 4th Generation, HTC Flyer, Motorola Xoom, plus a few others. It’s great that it works with Android phones and tablets (I might get one soon, that’s why I’m so excited for all Android users). Style and portability
Like all ZAGG devices, ZAGG keys SOLO is beautiful. It is sleek and lightweight, and it has a built-in rechargeable battery which lasts weeks between charges. The keyboard features a built-in stand which can accommodate devices in either landscape or portrait orientation. The island-style keys provide very good typing room. I’m fine with the “old” keyboard style as well, but it seems island-type keys are a trend these days, since Apple, Sony and now ZAGG are adopting it.

The ZAGGkeys SOLO uses a US keyboard layout. It has special function keys which allow you to operate your device fast, directly from the keyboard. It’s a great choice if you’re not so much into the ZAGG folio but you want to use a real-size keyboard with your iPad 2.
